Poke' Weekend
Mood:  cheeky

Kinda crazy when you think about a little hobby I had 11 years ago, still going strong with me. Pokemon indeed has always had its own room in my heart, and the WiFi fun only helps keep things going, despite the horrible episodes the anime has been showing these days.

Well I got my 2nd badge on Platinum with my little trio of Luxio, Staravia and Monferno. I can't say the experience has been as fun as the first go around with Diamond, yet I can say the game easily is much better obviously because they milk you for all the money they can.

Once I'm done all that, I have a few mon I plan on breeding and raising in the Platinum way of things, and I also heard chaining is easier in Platinum so hopefully I can bag shiney's easier this go around since I've never enjoyed chaining Pokemon like some because it is very frustrating, and the method is pretty stupid. I mean they should've made things more basic with the bushes shaking so people invest time and that is it, yet you have to follow the 50 rules of chaning and all that other junk, it really bores me.

Nevertheless, things look on the up and up. I've been listening to older episodes of WrestleCrap radio while training my little guys, and it brought me to thinking about olden times of my Internet history, and I'm sure I'll cover the basis on that sometime, yet for now since although I've spend the past decade on forums, I really do miss the chats. MediaDriven and WebMaster were some of the best times I've ever had on the Internet and to simply just avoid them kinda sucks to me, so until I get mIRC up and running I figure I'll try one of those Xat chats. Thus for now is a shortcut to that place...

So hopefully people will join and have some fun with this Poke chat and be respectful towards one-another please!

Update long overdue!
Mood:  a-ok

Well I'm still getting use to this blog thing, let alone logging into angelfire. I haven't started up re-building the pieces to my site, yet things have been going pretty good for me.

Since my last post, I finished watching Dragonball Z in digitally remastered format, which was cool. I finished about half of DBGT a series I've only seen once prior when I was 17, which was 9 years ago (yes I recently had a birthday). This time around in dubbed english; also remastered. It was a pretty good feeling to bring back that old DB fan in me that was asleep for a bit.

Anyway, I was in the midths of finishing up Final Fantasy 12, having a blast at it while watching/listening to Big Brother 4 US version in the background, until my friend who talks 100% Pokemon these days lured me back in. So FF12 has been on hold for a bit (along with DBGT for that matter), but the game has surpassed my expectations (not to say it is a better game than previous versions, but considering I didn't like the style of the game the first time I played it, I think it does its justice). I was having fun hunting down random monsters in my bounty hunter roll, along with actually knowing what I was doing in the game. I'm about 80% done the game, but would I recommend it? Eh, it's way too long to be a rental title so I'd say purchase it, but try to get it at a reasonable price, although you do get your moneys worth. Some consider it to be the different style their favorite Final Fantasy game, so who am I to judge? Personally on my list, it hovers just about FFX-2 I'd say.

I was out buying kitty food at GT one day, and I looked through some PS2 games that were pretty cheap, maybe a year older than one would like, yet 10 bucks isn't bad. I noticed a few anime games, which I took a gander at the back and they didn't seem as interesting to me considering how generic they were, like most animes are these days. I mean I'm a guy who has seen over 100 of them (yeah, who says I'm only a jock?), and unless they have some real appeal or something I previously marked out for, no reason to waste cash on them; save that for the actual animes! The other game I noticed was Madden '08. Now the story with Madden games and me is previously the Madden '05 game I had was a blast to play at first, yet as time wore on, the game became well pretty frustraiting; not as bad as the EA Hockey games, yet I felt that considering I do own ESPN NFL 2k5, I'll punish EA again. My final two selections were between MLB 2k8 vs. NBA 2k8. This was a really tough decision because I know more about baseball, yet I don't have a basketball game. Pretty much what it came down too, is I'm not that big of a baseball fan, and I still own Griffey 64 so I thought I'd try something new with the Basketball.

I posted a video on YouTube at one of the crazy moments I had in the game and described in the description on how I took the Knicks and had to rejuvinate their CAP struggles.

Moving on to wrap things up here, I recently finished re-watching Big Brother 8 US, the season that went sour once Eric and Jess left. And I decided to purchase Pokemon Platinum for a multitude of reasons, but main one being I'm currently addicted at the moment, until the next hobby comes along and takes its place. I'll be sure to post more about it in my next update, and hopefully get around to the actual site. Until then, avento!

First ever blog!
Mood:  hungry

Well maybe this isn't my first blog I've officially had over my lifetime when you take in account the mini one I had at GaiaOnline.com under my profile, but you get the picture.

So where do I begin? Geocities plans to close down their free web page service, which for people like me, it sucks! So the most obvious solution is to sign on with their competition. I plan on revamping BoWmEn.cjb.net here at Angelfire, for now at least. The sites main objective is still the same in diving into things I am interested in like anime, games or whatever, yet I may take things more seriously this time around with this blog at my expense; it'll save a ton of work for me.

I took the Master Cleanse detox while browsing for a Geocities replacement. For those unaware, it is a fast of drinking nothing but sea salt, lax tea and mainly special lemonade to flush your system free of harmful toxin, and it helps you teach yourself how to eat right (no it isn't a diet even though the weight loss is a side effect). It lasted only six days due to low ingredients, and medical concerns, but I am satisfied with it. Lost 11 pounds of toxins in my system, which is great and now I am transcending back to eating again with my fresh orange juice servings. Tomorrow I will have soup, so it will be the first time I've eaten in 8 days, which I can't wait for since I've had multiple friends teasing me of Pizza, ugh!

I saw the new X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie finally. And to say the least I enjoyed it. Sure a huge chunk of Wolverine's past is totally different from the comics, yet you cannot hold it against a movie that turns out to be much better then the previous X-Men 3. It was entertaining, fresh, yet familiar in some cases; although I wouldn't give it the 5 stars, more like 4 out of 5 due to certain things in the movie should have been tweaked, yet I won't spoil it for anybody.
Well that should be good enough for my first entry into this new blog. I'm hoping that working on this site will be as easy as working on this blog, yet I'm not getting my hopes up.
